Resource Mailbox calendar showing as busy

We are using a room resource mailbox as a shared calendar.  We would like to show all day events as "free" by default when people send requests to the room resource.  Currently they are shown as "free" in the originating senders calendar but "busy" in the room resource mailbox.    Mostly users are using this to show vacations etc.

Is there a way to change this behaviour for all day events in room resource?

    Hello, @Rawat Dubey,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

Based on your description, you seem to be experiencing an issue with the Conference Room Resource mailboxes having different statuses in the original sender's and other people's calendars.

In order to change behaviors for all day events in room resource, it is recommended for you to use a PowerShell script or Exchange Web Services (EWS) to set the status of the all-day event to “free”. Given it involves the scripting and use of Powershell and EWS, Exchange is unable to provide support for script directly.

For your reference, here is a document I found on technologies that may be able to solve your problem: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/exchange/client-developer/exchange-web-services/how-to-create-all-day-events-by-using-ews-in-exchange.

Hope it can help you with your issue. If not, it is advisable for you to add a Powershell tag.
