Learning material different from actual Azure platform

So I started a learning plan within Microsoft Azure as I am looking at exploring a new career path. The problem I have is that the learning material I am provided with does not correspond with what is actually on the Azure platform. For example, one of the learning modules teaches about how to navigate through the Defender for Cloud settings. It gives you numbered steps to follow to arrive at your assigned instruction but I can only follow those steps so far before the options become completely different and do not take me to where I should be, even using the search pane doesn't find what I'm looking for. It's very frustrating especially when your only starting out to learn something new. Any help or advice would be appreciated. My goal is to learn about cybersecurity to become a security engineer.
