Hello everyone,

I am taking the liberty of contacting you because I am currently designing an Intranet via Sharepoint for my SME and I would like to bring some life into the design of my pages (especially the home page which is the entry portal).

I looked at the proposed Templates which are rich in inspiration but I would like to have more choice in the design of my pages (example: Webparts).

I have been looking for a while on the internet but the proposed models and the webparts that I come across are quite expensive (including on the sharepoint store).

This is SharePoint Online on which I am building my intranet.

It is not necessarily easy to explain my graphic needs literally but I will try :-)

In fact, the idea is to have more flexibility on the mobility of the elements.

Example:

Being able to reduce the space between 2 text Webparts or 2 sections (for a single block impression)

Add rounding to the blocks (frame)

Being able to add an article or a video with a photo as a section background that would stop to leave the rest of the section background on a colored background.

The possibility also to create a text block, articles that spreads over 2 sections.

More rounded section separators.

Etc.

To summarize and if I allowed myself a comparison, I would need elements like Divi or Elementor are for Wordpress (web creation options panel).

I would like to attach 2 examples of paid solutions found on the internet:

These include rounded shapes, elements spanning 2 sections, etc.

I hope I have detailed my needs as best I can :)

I would be very interested in your feedback to find out how you did to make your pages on SharePoint more dynamic, but also simply to have your advice on the range of possibilities.

Many thanks in advance for your advice and happy holidays to all.

Olivier

    Hi @Olivier-202 ,

    Welcome to Q&A forum!

I cannot open the first link you provided, but based on your description and the image in the second link, I roughly understand your needs. Because we are committed to supporting general issues that arise during the use of SharePoint, your needs are relatively broad and grand, so I can give you the following suggestions:

Web Parts Customization: While SharePoint does have some limitations compared to tools like Divi or Elementor, you can still achieve a lot with the existing web parts. For instance, you can use the Hero web part to create visually striking sections and the Image web part to add backgrounds to your content.

Spacing and Layout Adjustments: Although SharePoint does not provide extensive options for adjusting spacing between web parts, you can experiment with the layout of your sections. Using columns and grouping web parts can help create a more cohesive look.

Dynamic Content: You can add dynamic content such as news, events, and highlighted content to keep your homepage lively. The news web part is particularly useful for this purpose.

Inspiration and Examples: To explore what’s possible with SharePoint, reviewing the SharePoint Look Book can provide you with various examples of how to include personalized content and engaging designs.

SharePoint Framework (SPFx): Develop custom web parts using SPFx. This allows you to build web parts that meet your exact graphical and functional requirements. This requires some development skills, particularly in JavaScript and React.

Paid customization: If the above still cannot meet your needs, you can try to go to the Partner Center or the third party you mentioned for customization to get a better user experience.
