AFD mapping to environment stopped working

My sites have both a production and a preview environment. I have an AFD setup with https://preview.nkdagility.com and it was working with and "origin host header" set to a specific environment.

Just last week however it stopped working and now I am unable to use the preview AFD.

What changed? Why would this work last week but not now?

I sometimes direct folks to the preview version of the site if I want their review on content before it goes live. I also use it as the final check for production as it deploys identical to production, which only works through AFD as images are served through a mapping.

What could be wrong?

When working with Azure Front Door (AFD) and encountering issues in a specific environment, such as your preview environment, various factors could have changed or caused the preview site to malfunction.

I need some more details:

Could you please share the exact errors you are encountering, preferably with screenshots?

Let me know what Certificate Subject name Validation means and what will affect in this scenario?

How are reaching out to your static application please let me know.

And also, please verify the below ones:

Review the routing rules in your AFD configuration. If any rules were modified, it could affect how traffic is directed to your preview environment.

If there were any changes to the SSL/TLS certificates for the preview environment, it could lead to HTTPS issues. Ensure that the certificates are valid and correctly configured in AFD.

If you suspect a recent change caused the issue, consider reverting to a previous configuration or deployment to see if that resolves the problem.

@Ganesh Patapati My configuration did not change when it stopped working.

Could you please share the exact errors you are encountering, preferably with screenshots?

Its now working today with no changes! Very frustrating issue...

It was giving me the "site not found" Azure static sites message when the domain is not configured correctly. However, the domain was correct, and the one configured by Azure was not a custom one!

I guess someone fixed it since I reported it...

This issue has resolved itself since posting. Was broken for about 7-10 days..

I assume it was a wider issue and someone at Azure noticed the issue and has resolved it.

I did not have to do anything to resolve.
