How to have Friendly Name for RDP connection windows 11

Why can't I have a friendly name for certain connections? Sometimes I connect to an address only via its IP address. I would like to have a name that I can actually read rather than memorize a bunch of IP addresses.

    Open C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

    Open the file in notepad with administrative privileges.

    Add entries like: 192.168.1.100 homeserver

    Save the changes and close the editor.
