How to adjust text box size on all PowerPoint slides at once when changing slide size

I need to change the format of old PowerPoints from 4:3 to widescreen (using PowerPoint for Mac). I cannot seem to figure out how to get the text boxes to adjust to the changed format - they stay the previous, now narrow, narrow size. The slide Master doesn't seem to do it, and I'd hate having to go through every single slide to manually adjust its size - it'll take me forever. Any advice on how to do this efficiently would be greatly appreciated - thanks in advance!
