Hello: qq about Cosmos DB and Container RU Configuration and cost. I know you I set RU on DB or Container Level when I create it or even on both, but wonder how does billing works. For simplicity, let's say I have just one DB and one Container under CosmosDB account. Do I understand correctly, that if I am configuring RU throughput on the DB level (let's say set it to 20k manual) and then configuring RU throughput on the Container (the same 20k manual), I am just having the same performance/limit, but simply paying twice? Thank you!

Yep - but you don't really apply the intended design. The intention is to use the DB-level throughput for containers other than the one with provisioned throughput. Thank you very much for your input. It really helps!

I checked the KB you suggested and agree, the design I described is not really useful (which I knew ;-) ).

However, I have a question about the cost as well.

Do I understand correctly, in the (odd) design I described above the cost will be 2x, while if we only specify RU once either on DB or on Container level the cost will be 50% less?
