Can't find GPT4-turbo model (2024-08-01-preview) in model catalog Azure portal

Question

I can't find the GPT4-turbo model (2024-08-01-preview) in the model catalogue in the Azure portal. Therefore I can't use it using the Azure OpenAI api. I'm using a free developer account and tried different regions already for both the resource-group and openai-resource: france central, sweden central, US east. Only 3.5-turbo models are in the list to implement.

Since you're using a free developer account, it's important to note that access to certain models, including GPT-4 Turbo (2024-08-01-preview), may be restricted. Free or trial-tier subscriptions typically have limited access to advanced models, and GPT-4 Turbo might not be available under this tier. Additionally, availability can vary by region, and the regions you've tried (France Central, Sweden Central, US East) may not yet have GPT-4 Turbo accessible for your account type. I recommend upgrading to a paid subscription, you should then be able to access the model in supported regions.
