Compliance of Azure OpenAI Assistant File Search with Regional Data Storage in Australia

I am wanting to use the File Search feature with Azure OpenAI assistants.

However, to be compliant, I need my data to be stored and processed solely within Australia.

If I were to use standard OpenAI models deployed in the Australia East region, would this be compliant?

My uncertainty comes from the file search documentation (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/ai-services/openai/how-to/file-search?tabs=python) saying that it uses text-embedding-3-large. This was only recently provided to the Australia East region, whereas assistants have been available longer than that.

Thanks

@Fernando File search is available in regions that support Assistants assistants. So, the data should in Australia East region if you use file search. text-embedding-3-large is also supported as mentioned in the list of supported models. I hope this helps!!
