A few months ago my computer upgraded to Windows 11 overnight, even though I kept refusing to upgrade and I had left my computer powered on overnight,. I was annoyed, but figured I'd leave it since Windows 10 will become outdated. However, since then I have spent almost every other weekend - the whole weekend - fighting this damned operating system. Something that used to work no longer does or something is lost or something goes wrong and I spend the entire weekend searching for solutions, and rarely finding any.
Now I cannot open Word documents without hiding my taskbar. This is a recent development and is intermittent, but can last for hours, despite rebooting the computer. I do NOT want my taskbar hidden! I use it constantly. When I got to settings, autohide is turned off and greyed out. I had to install PowerTools when Windows 11 first showed up just to reconfigure some things back to usable interfaces, but can find no way to control the taskbar autohide with it..
This problem of Microsoft making UI changes that are fundamentally different and interfere with one's ability to work is getting out of hand.
Please tell me how to revert back to Windows 10 without having to get some sort of bootable USB.
