I've noticed today that someones has added a security key to my account granting them access without me wanting it. I am afraid of my data getting stolen but I cannot remove the key without putting it into my PC. I obviously can't do that so I am stuck.Unbenannt

    Suggestions:

Change your Microsoft account password immediately from a different device that you trust.

Enable two-factor authentication if you haven't already, using your phone number or authenticator app.

Review your recent account activity for any suspicious logins at account.microsoft.com/security.

Check if any unauthorized apps or services have been granted access to your account and remove them.

Scan your system with latest antimalware tool in Safe mode.

    Hello

Here are some steps you can take to address this issue about the unauthorized security key on your account.

    1. Sign in to Your Microsoft Account:

Go to the Microsoft account security page and sign in.

    1. Remove the Security Key:

Look for the option to manage your security info. Find the unauthorized security key and select "Remove." You may need to follow additional verification steps to confirm the removal.

    1. Change Passwords:

As a precaution, change the passwords for your Microsoft account and any other accounts that use the same credentials.

    1. Enable Two-Factor Authentication:

Ensure that two-factor authentication is enabled on your account to add an extra layer of security.

    Best regards

    Yanhong
