I have a server with Windows Server 2019 standard Operating system installed on it

Lately, I have noticed windows server version is displaying as "Microsoft Hyper-V Server 2016"

This started happening since March 2021 updates, prior to that version is correctly displayed as "Windows Server 2019"

    Hello

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

    1. Ensure that your server has all the latest updates installed. Sometimes, subsequent updates can fix issues introduced by previous ones.
    2. Uninstall the updates from March 2021 and then reinstall them. This can sometimes resolve display issues caused by update glitches. You can use the following command to uninstall a specific update:

    wusa /uninstall /kb:KBxxxxxxx

    1. Verify the registry settings to ensure they reflect the correct version of Windows Server. Incorrect registry entries can sometimes cause display issues.
             HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou
