Can't use live captions as floating window

Hello, I need to use live captions for work and I can't get them to show in floating window mode. It does work if I put them on upper or lower screen, but I don't find that very comfortable. I never had problems with this until recently.

Right now I'm not in my house. For work, I have to use 2 screens. I usually put the subtitles as well as the chrome tab I have to work on on a TV screen. The TV screen I use in this house is kinda huge, much bigger than the one I have at home. Yesterday, I opened the subtitles and they popped up in my laptop screen, however, instead of the tiny window that usually shows up,I got a huge captions window - bigger than the size of my whole laptop screen. So I moved my cursor to make it smaller, and then it suddenly dissappeared. When I alt+enter the subtitles tab, I can change the position to upper or lower and it works. But when I put it on floating window, I get nothing on either screen. If I hover over the tab while on window mode, though, I can see the subtitles loading on that little "preview" window that appears when you hover over a tab. So it does work, it does caption the audio, it's just that the tiny window isn't anywhere to be found.

I already tried closing and opening again, restarting my laptop, turning off and on, etc. None of it worked. I'd really appreciate any help since this is work-related.

I use Windows 11 Home Single Language, version 23H2, installed on 25/08/2024.
