Issue: Unable to Create Free Azure Account with Personal Email

Problem: I am trying to create a free Azure account using my personal email (jaanujakoneswaran@gmail.com), but I receive an error message stating that my account is "not eligible zone." Because of this, I had to use my university email address to set up the free account.

Request: Could someone help resolve this issue and explain why my personal email is not eligible to create an Azure free account? I would appreciate guidance on how to fix the "not eligible zone" error.

    Hi @Jaanuja Koneswaran
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

The "not eligible zone" error message typically indicates that Azure is not available in your region or country. However, Azure is available in most countries and regions, so it's possible that there is another issue causing the error message.

To troubleshoot the issue, I recommend trying the following steps:

1.Clear your browser cache and cookies, and try creating the Azure account again using your personal email.

2.Try creating the Azure account using a different browser or device.

3.Check if Azure is available in your region or country by visiting the Azure products available by region page: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/global-infrastructure/services/?products=all
4.If Azure is available in your region or country, try contacting Azure Support for further assistance. They can help you investigate the issue and find a solution. You can reach out to them by going to Help + Support in the Azure Portal and selecting the appropriate service area.

    Hi Jaanuja Koneswaran

I think u need to use a company email, anything but gmail/outlook.com to register for the free microsoft account.

    Same a Business Central i guess :

Business Central requires that you use a work or school email address to sign up. Business Central doesn't support email addresses that are provided by consumer email services or telecommunication providers such as outlook.com, hotmail.com, gmail.com, and others.

If you try to sign up with a personal email address, you'll receive a message indicating that you need to use a work or school email address.

    Kind regards.
