I have compressed syslog files sent to a blob. The content type is application/octect-stream. I cannot download them from Storage Explorer I get the following error message.

Transfer of 'syslog-test/syslog/PAN/pan:traffic/2024/11/20/cvl-plsxpan01.ns.agilent.net/pan:traffic-1C6q4u.0.json.gz' to 'C:\Users\rubacker\AppData\Local\Temp\17321094721011' failed: 0 items transferred (used SAS, discovery completed) Started at: 11/20/2024 6:31 AM, Duration: 5 seconds

I can go to the portal and download the files with no issues.

    Hello BACKER,RUSSELL (Agilent USA),

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A and thank you for posting your questions here.

I understand that your Azure Storage Explorer not downloading or previewing certain files.

These are a few steps you can try to resolve this:

    1. Make sure that the SAS token you're using has the correct permissions for downloading the files. It should have at least read (r) and list (l) permissions.
    2. Make sure you are using the latest version of Azure Storage Explorer. Sometimes, updating to the latest version can resolve unexpected issues.
    3. Verify that there are no network issues or restrictions that might be affecting the download process. Sometimes, network configurations can block certain types of traffic.
    4. he error message mentions a long file path. Ensure that the total path length does not exceed the maximum limit for your operating system.
    5. If the issue persists, you might want to try using a different tool or method to download the files, such as Azure CLI or PowerShell.
    6. Look at the logs in Azure Storage Explorer for more detailed error messages that might give you a clue about what's going wrong.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, I will advise you might need to reach out to Azure support for more detailed assistance.

I hope this is helpful! Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions.
