What's is recommended ETL approach from OnPrem Source to OnPrem target/sink, inside Enterprise network, using ADF, without data movement to azure/cloud.
As the source and sink are both On Prem, you would need to create a server within onprem which is able to access both the source and sink.
And install self hosted IR within the new server.
Post that you can use ADF copy activity leveraging the source and sink (using self IR) to sync data between them (internal movement)

Can you plz specify what is your source and sink? Are those SQL servers?
OnPrem Oracle, SQL Server, Files are the sources.
As there are multiple sources, you need an ETL tool for the data transfer.
In case if the source and sink would have been just SQL server and the amount of data would have been less, you could have used a linked server between the 2 and copied data from 1 database into another.
But for heavy amount of data and multiple sources, you can use either ADF or SSIS. Irrespective, you would need another server for the same ( either to set up SSIS or ADF SHIR)
