Hi,

Can you please tell how I can get tapimgmt.msc for Windows 11 Pro or what tool has replaced it?

It is not available by default and there is no Telephony option within optionalfeatures. I have already searched online but there is no mention of this snap-in within the past few years but also nothing to say what to use instead. I have tried copying the msc + tapisnap.dll to my machine but that would not load.

I want to view all lines that the machine knows about.

Thank you

    Hello Luke M,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

It looks like the tapimgmt.msc snap-in is not available by default in Windows 11 Pro, and there isn't a direct replacement tool provided by Microsoft.

For advanced users, PowerShell scripts can be used to manage telephony services and devices. This requires some scripting knowledge but offers flexibility.

You can use the New-CsOnlineTelephoneNumberOrder cmdlet to create a telephone number search order. This allows you to set up calling features for users and services in your organization.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Best Regards,

    Daisy Zhou

I want to view all lines that the machine knows about.

You can try TAPI APIs like lineGetProviderList
