Screen sharing stops working (MS Teams, Google Meet, etc.) in Edge 131

Question

In Edge 131.0.2903.51, screen sharing / presenting in online conference apps (MS Teams, Google Meet, Skype, etc.) stops working.

I am running Ubuntu 22.04 with Wayland. Screen sharing used to work, but now it isn't. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Update: I did a little downgrade check and discovered that the latest Edge 130 works, but the earliest Edge 131 doesn't. So, a regression must be introduced in Edge 131.

By the way, in Chrome 131.0.6778.69, screen sharing works, so this is an Edge-specific issue.

Based on your test and description, this is likely to be a regression issue on Edge 131. Please report this problem to the Edge Dev Team by sending feedback. You can send feedback in Microsoft Edge at ··· menu --> Help and feedback --> Send feedback.

As a workaround, you can temporarily roll back to Edge 130 or use Edge insider channels. Thanks for your understanding.
