Hi all,

I have a link to a specific team that I’d like to set as a shortcut on all desktops. However, I want the link to open directly in the Teams app rather than launching in the browser first.

I don’t want to change the default settings for all users to always open Teams in the app. Is it possible to configure this specific link so that it opens directly in the app?

Thank you!

    Hi @Aran Billen

According to our official documentation, you want to open a link to a specific team directly in the Teams application, which is a use of deep links.

When you get a link in Teams, it is a protocol handler starting with https://. Please replace https:// here with msteams://, which will skip the client selection screen in the browser and open the deep link directly in the Teams desktop client. Then you will get a shortcut that can open the specified team directly in Teams.
