Any time I try to open settings on a VM, whether that be through Hyper-V Manager or Failover Cluster Manager, and regardless of whether I open it on a host, from my desktop, it can take up to 5 minutes for the settings page to come up. This happens every single time. VM powered up or off makes no difference. Different hosts make no difference.

The cluster is a 4 node, running on brand-new Cisco UCS servers, 25Gbe networking, and Pure Storage SANs. Windows Server 2022 hosts.

    Hi Mirza,

Hope you're doing well. The slowness can be triggerred by following reasons. Please follow the following steps:

    1. Check Network Latency:__Verify the network latency between the Hyper-V Manager client and the Hyper-V hosts. High network latency can cause delays in loading the settings page.
    2. Check PureStorage Configuration:__Confirm that the PureStorage array configuration is correct and that there are no issues with the storage connectivity.
    3. Update Hyper-V Integration Services__Make sure that the Hyper-V Integration Services are up-to-date on the virtual machines. Integration Services help improve communication between the host and guest operating systems.
    4. Review Hyper-V Host Logs:__Check the logs on the Hyper-V hosts for any errors or warnings that might be related to the issue. Event Viewer and Hyper-V logs could provide useful information.
    5. Check for Windows Updates:__Confirm that all Hyper-V hosts and the management workstation have the latest Windows updates installed, including cumulative updates.
    6. Examine Antivirus or Security Software:__Temporarily disable any antivirus or security software on both the Hyper-V hosts and the management workstation to see if it has any impact on the loading time.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Ian Xue
