Unable to upgrade cloud server from 2012 standard to 2019 standard.

Dear Team,

We are unable to upgrade 2012 standard server to 2019 standard server, its getting stuck on 42% during upgrade.

Kindly help me to do this.

1. Make sure there is enough free disk space on the server. Insufficient disk space can cause the upgrade to fail.
2. Temporarily disable any antivirus or security software during the upgrade process, as these can sometimes interfere with the installation.
3. Ensure that the server's BIOS and firmware are up to date. Outdated firmware can cause compatibility issues during the upgrade.

4.Make sure there are no pending updates on the current Windows Server 2012 installation. Install all available updates before attempting the upgrade again.

5. Review Setup Logs

Check the setup logs for any specific errors that might indicate the cause of the issue. The logs can be found in the following locations:

• C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setuperr.log

• C:$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\setupact.log

6. Consider a Two-Step Upgrade

If the direct upgrade from 2012 to 2019 continues to fail, consider upgrading to Windows Server 2016 first, and then from 2016 to 2019. This two-step process can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
