    Hi Tom,

    Greetings,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.

Ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) being closed on your Azure VMs, despite having an open firewall, can be due to several factors:

    • Check Inbound Security Rules:
      • Navigate to the NSG associated with your VMs.
      • Ensure there are rules allowing inbound traffic on ports 80 and 443.
      • If there are any Deny rules that might override the Allow rules, adjust them accordingly.

Since you mentioned having a peering network between two VNETs, ensure that the peering configuration allows traffic between the VNETs.

    • Check Peering Settings:
      • Verify that the peering settings allow forwarded traffic.
      • Ensure that the NSGs on both sides of the peering allow traffic on the required ports.

Hope this clarifies, please let me know whether your issue resolved or not, if not please share me what error you are getting in terms of screenshot.

    Regards,

    Ganesh
