Hi Tom,
Greetings,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform. Thank you for reaching out & I hope you are doing well.
Ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS) being closed on your Azure VMs, despite having an open firewall, can be due to several factors:
- Check Inbound Security Rules:
- Navigate to the NSG associated with your VMs.
- Ensure there are rules allowing inbound traffic on ports 80 and 443.
- If there are any Deny rules that might override the Allow rules, adjust them accordingly.
Since you mentioned having a peering network between two VNETs, ensure that the peering configuration allows traffic between the VNETs.
- Check Peering Settings:
- Verify that the peering settings allow forwarded traffic.
- Ensure that the NSGs on both sides of the peering allow traffic on the required ports.
Troubleshooting connectivity problems between Azure VMs:
Hope this clarifies, please let me know whether your issue resolved or not, if not please share me what error you are getting in terms of screenshot.
Regards,
Ganesh
