Please advise how to set network category of an 'Unidentified' network PERMANENTLY as "Private" in W10 and W11? "Set-NetConnectionProfile -InterfaceIndex 8 -NetworkCategory Private" works until the system Restart.

How to make change to "Private" permanent with Powershell? Another words need to have Network connection as "Private" at all times regardless of the System Restart.

    Hello,

Press the Windows key and R key, then type secpol.msc in the displayed text box to enter Local Security Policy.

Select Network List Manager Polices on the left.

    Double-click Unidentified Networks.

    Select Private under Location type.

    Click OK, then reboot.
