Unable to copy and paste (drag) files between VM and local PC

I used to be able to drag and drop (or right-click copy and paste) files to and from my local machine to my Windows 10 22H2 (Ent.) AVD VM via Remote Desktop but this feature no longer works.

According to this Learn article, Windows 11 (Ent.) must be installed on the session host for this feature to work. Has the feature been removed recently from Windows 10 session hosts?

Clipboard Redirection is enabled in the host pool RDP properties and in Group Policy as per this article.

    Hi Mike,
Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Platform! Thank you for asking your question here.

I understand that you are unable to copy and paste (or drag and drop) files between your local machine and a Windows 10 AVD VM via Remote Desktop.

There is no mention of any recent removal of clipboard redirection capabilities from Windows 10 session hosts. Clipboard redirection is available for both Windows 10 and Windows 11 session hosts. The document details how to configure this feature using Microsoft Intune or Group Policy. While clipboard functionality exists on Windows 10, certain advanced features, such as enhanced clipboard management and control over data types, are more robust in Windows 11. Make sure that you allow clipboard redirection, toggle the switch to Disabled. To disable clipboard redirection, toggle the switch to Enabled.
