There is no "Tag" for MS Project or MS Planner so I just picked this generic one. Odd - they both seem to be supported products.

What happened to MS Project? I used it years ago and need to start using something similar now. I basically need to layout projects with timelines (like Gnatt chart format) and track deadlines, etc.

It looks like it still exists:

But when I click it, I get this about Planner:

We use Planner, but it is really MS's attempt at replicating Trello (at least the version we see in MS 365). Don't see any options for the Gnatt chart format that I'm looking for as shown above. Would Planner Plan 1 allow me to make these kinds of charts? If not, which one would? Thank you for the guidance.

Desktop versions of MS Project are end of life as of next year. MS Project Online (the web version) it is also end of life as discussed here.

The recommended replacement is Project for the web. However MS makes it clear that this is new version is not fully in line with the existing product and it may be a while before it gets there. As discussed here it does support Gantt charts.
