How to download a CSV file of subscribers to a Product from the API Management Portal

I don't want to have to use API calls just to get a list of subscribers to a product.

There doesn't appear to be an OOTB function to simply create a CSV file or something with the info like there is in Entra ID.

I just want a simple option that I can click on to create the CSV file and download it.

A similar service would be nice when viewing the Analytics (classic) page so that you can determine usage patterns by caller.

Please follow these Steps to Download Subscribers as CSV:

Log in to Azure Portal:

Go to the Azure Portal and log in with your credentials.

Navigate to API Management:

In the left-hand menu, select "All services" and search for "API Management."

Click on your API Management instance.

Access Products:

In the API Management menu, click on "Products."

Select the product for which you want to download the subscriber list.

View Subscribers:

Once you're in the product details, find the "Subscribers" tab. This will show you a list of all subscribers to that product.

Export to CSV:

Unfortunately, Azure API Management does not currently offer a direct “Export to CSV” button for subscribers. You can take the following workaround:

Manual Copy: Select and copy the subscriber list from the portal.

Paste in Excel or Google Sheets: Open Excel or Google Sheets and paste the copied data. You can then format it as needed and save it as a CSV file.

Alternative for Analytics:

Go to Analytics:

In your API Management instance, navigate to the "Analytics" section.

Export Data:

Similar to the subscriber's section, there is typically no direct export option for classic analytics. You may need to manually copy the data you need and paste it into a spreadsheet.

Note:

As of now, Azure API Management may not have built-in features for exporting subscriber lists or analytics data directly to CSV.

hi Shireesha,

When I click on Product it lists the 2 we have, if I click on that, there is no "View Subscribers". The process you describe is one I already do by clicking on APIs > Subscriptions. However, there is no "Select All". I have to scroll down to the bottom, then I can select all and copy into Excel.

That's the point of my question. When you have a few hundred subscribers, and it only scrolls down 20 at a time, it takes a lot of mindless clicking to get to the bottom.

Having a simple export function, like there are in other areas of Azure and other portals - like Exchange, would make it easy to download the list.

I know you were trying to be helpful, but it does not help me, and in fact, your suggested solution does not work as there is no "View Subscribers".

I apologize for any confusion my previous responses may have caused. Here is a simpler solution to download a CSV file of subscribers to a product from the API Management Portal:

Log in to the Azure Portal and navigate to your API Management instance.

Click on "APIs" in the left-hand menu and select "Subscriptions".

Scroll down to the bottom of the page to load all subscribers.

Click on the checkbox next to "Subscriber ID" to select all subscribers.

Right-click on the selected subscribers and choose "Copy".

Open Excel or Google Sheets and paste the copied data.

Format the data as needed and save it as a CSV file.

Unfortunately, there is currently no built-in feature in Azure API Management to export subscriber lists directly to CSV. However, this workaround should help you download the list more easily than manually copying and pasting the data 20 subscribers at a time.
