When a quote is initially created in the system, it is assigned a status of Draft. In this draft state, the quote is fully editable, allowing sales representatives to make modifications to the details, such as adding or removing products, adjusting quantities, or altering pricing. This flexibility ensures that the quote can be refined and tailored to meet the specific requirements of the potential customer.
Once the quote is complete and ready to be presented to the customer, it must be activated. Activating the quote changes its status to Read-Only, meaning that no further modifications can be made unless the quote is re-opened for editing.
