Hi everyone,

I moved user local account to AzureAD domain on his computer.

We have Intune and Business Premium Licensing.

The user and other department need to use a Macro in Excel to push data on a device. I put the macro in attachment.

Since the machine was integrated into AzureAD, the macro no longer works with FTP error. Still working with other computers in local account.

Microsoft support tells me that this is a personal problem, not a product issue.

Have you experienced this and, if so, how can this be bypassed so that the current user can work normally?

I already check the firewall, try with administrative rights, nothing is bypassing. Even my MSP does not know how to bypass.

Thank you in advance.

I moved out the user from Azure, disable all rules with a filter for the user.

I added rules and windows config 1 by 1, and everything is working again.

No clue if the long terme will works but for 1 week now everything is fine.

The issue is likely due to AzureAD or Intune security policies blocking the macro or FTP access. Try the following steps:

    1. Check Intune/AzureAD Policies: Review and adjust any policies related to macro execution or FTP access that may have been enforced after the domain join.
    2. Add Excel Trusted Location: Add the folder containing the macro to Excel's Trusted Locations to prevent it from being blocked.
    3. Enable Macros: Go to Excel > Trust Center > Macro Settings and select Enable all macros to allow macro execution (ensure this is safe for your environment).
    4. Verify FTP Access: Check firewall or network permissions for FTP after the AzureAD join. Ensure the necessary access is allowed.

These steps should help resolve the macro issue. Let me know if it works!
