I always receive this message when I try to edit files with Office 2016, with other applications such as Notepad.
Is there a solution for this, I'm using Windows Server 2016 as a file server and Office 2016 to edit it.

You do not have delete access. Excel does not overwrite the file. It saves a new temporary file, deletes the old file, and then renames the temporary file. Add delete to the permissions.
