I recently injected Windows 11 24H2 into my MDT image and my task sequences are failing to apply the Unattend.XML. I use the old reference and all works fine. I even updated to the latest ADK files without success. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This issue stemmed from me needing to inject NET 3.5 via MDT packages through the task sequence. After removing the package, the imaging process completed without issue. I later was able to script the install of NET 3.5 after the OS was applied and booted.

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

1,MDT doesn't officially support Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022 operating systems. It's recommended to use SCCM to deploy Windows 11 to client computers. Refer to:

    MDT supported platforms

Support for Windows 11 in Configuration Manager

2,For troubleshooting, you can check the smsts.log and bdd.log to see if there is any further information.

Thanks for your time. Have a nice day!

    Best regards,

    Simon
