Retirement notice: Azure Load Balancer Inbound NAT rule V1 for Azure VMs and Azure VMSS will be retired

Question

I am confused regarding this announcement and unsure if I will be affected.

A couple of months ago we created a domain within Microsoft Entra Domain Services, the load balancer was automatically created we did not create the load balancer ourselves.

How do I know if I’m using version 1 of Inbound NAT rules?

The easiest way to identify if your deployments are using version 1 of the feature is by inspecting the load balancer’s configuration. If either the InboundNATPool property or the backendIPConfiguration property within the InboundNATRule configuration is populated, then the deployment is version 1 of Inbound NAT rules.

I'm not exactly sure what the above means.

When i go to the load balancer and select "Inbound NAT rules" i do not see "InboundNATPool" or "backendIPConfiguration", what i see is the below, does this mean the NAT rules are already V2 and i need to take no action?

I see you are referring to the update : Azure Load Balancer Inbound NAT rule V1 for Azure VMs and Azure VMSS will be retired

To check if you are using v1 or v2 Inbound NAT Rule,

• You should check the JSON Configuration of the Load Balancer
• You can use the "Export Template" under the resource blade of the Load Balancer and can check for the properties under Inbound NAT Rules.

Let us know if you see either InboundNATPool property or the backendIPConfiguration property
