Cannot Install / Detect Printers from Universal Print Sharing on Windows Server 2019 (on Prem)

I have successfully setup Universal Print and shared a printer to for testing. This works great on Windows 10 devices (on Prem). Nevertheless, the actual use case is to use this cloud printing on a Windows Server 2019 (on Prem). But I cannot detect the cloud printers on the server (it even doesn't show this option).

I was able to install and connect the connector on this server. But it does not work the other way around (detecting shared printers).

Is it not possible to use Universal Print on Windows Server? If so, is there another option to us on a on-prem Server to print on printers not in the same network?

Regards

André

After you install support Universal Print connector, next step is print registration.

If the printer you are trying to register does not appear in the list of "Available printers" in the connector app, here are some potential causes:

    1. You are trying to register a software printer (e.g., Microsoft Print to PDF). Only physical printers are supported.
    2. You installed the printer on the connector using a print server share (e.g., \MyPrnServer\Printer1). Printers must be directly installed on the connector machine as if the print server doesn’t exist.
