Hi.
I'm installing a package from the Microsoft Store from my WinUI application, but I'd like to see the download progress.
I have the following code on Constructor:
PackageCatalog packageCatalog => PackageCatalog.OpenForCurrentUser();
And when I click to download I assign this event:
packageCatalog.PackageInstalling += PackageCatalog_PackageInstalling;
However, this event is only triggered after the download is completed, but I could see the progress by the args. I have the product ID from Microsoft Store and I'd like to monitor the downloading progress.
How can I do that?

It seems that you are downloading Optional Packages from the store, right? Have you checked the GetAppAndOptionalStorePackageUpdatesAsync and RequestDownloadAndInstallStorePackageUpdatesAsync? In this way you could monitor could check the downloading progress.

I'm using the same code suggested by Microsoft:
However, Updates have count 0, probably because I am not updating a backage already installed. I am installing a new package.
One thing that I want to confirm is that your optional package is in the Store as an add-on, right? If it is, please try the StoreContext.RequestDownloadAndInstallStorePackagesAsync method to see if this method could find your optional package is in the Store.
Hope you've been well. Have you tried StoreContext.RequestDownloadAndInstallStorePackagesAsync method on your side to see if could find your optional package and show the progress?

My 'this' is my ViewModel.
When you are calling WinRT.Interop.WindowNative.GetWindowHandle(this), this should be the window. This method is used to get the handle of the window so you can't use ViewModel as parameter.

Do you mean that you can't use the window as parameter so that you can't use StoreContext.RequestDownloadAndInstallStorePackagesAsync as well? I have to say that currently, only the Store API will provide the download process. Is it possible pass the window object to your viewmodel?
