Hi @Satish Tayde
Welcome to our forum!
As i know: The .rpmsg format is used by Outlook to protect email messages with Information Rights Management (IRM). When these emails are sent to Lotus Notes, which does not natively support this format, they appear as attachments instead of regular emails.
To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:
- Disable IRM for the email: Before sending the email from Outlook, ensure that Information Rights Management is turned off. This can be done by going to the "Options" tab in the email compose window and selecting "Encrypt," then check if tick "Do Not Forward" or "Encrypt-only."
- Convert the email format: If you have control over the email server, you can configure it to convert the email to a format that Lotus Notes can handle. This might involve changing the email format from HTML or Rich Text to plain text.
- Using a Script: You can create a script that automatically converts .rpmsg files to a compatible format. This script can be scheduled to run at regular intervals or triggered by specific events. For example, a PowerShell script can be used to convert .rpmsg files to .eml or .msg format, which Lotus Notes can read. (Please kindly understand that the Outlook tag here we mainly focus on general issues about Outlook desktop client. It is recommended that you consult a professional IT for a detailed script.)
If all above do not work, i am afraid you need to save .rpmsg message from lotus notes and use Office Outlook, or Outlook on Web to open it.
Hope it helps!
