I have an iPad 12.9 with a Magic Keyboard. I connect my Windows-PC with the Windows App. Problem: I found no way to enter the correct keyboard command in order to generate the “@“ symbol. Language settings are Swiss German. Please note that with the Jump App it works: The keyboard command “Shift-Option”+2 works. Please fix this problem.

It sounds like there’s a keyboard mapping issue between your iPad's Magic Keyboard and the Windows app, especially with the Swiss German layout. The “@” symbol using AltGR (or Shift-Option) might not be translating correctly in the Windows app. Since it works with the Jump App, it’s likely a bug or limitation in the Windows app's handling of the Magic Keyboard. https://www.banuba.com/blog/full-guide-virtual-try-on

In the meantime, you could try these workarounds:

    1. Use the on-screen keyboard in Windows to input the "@" symbol.
    2. Temporarily change the keyboard layout in Windows to one where the "@" symbol can be accessed without AltGR.
    3. Check for any updates to the Windows app, or consider reaching out to their support team for a fix.

Hopefully, Microsoft addresses this in a future update!

    Hello,

Please check if you are using version 11.0.1, which was released on September 20, 2024.

Please note that this version only supports Apple first-party keyboards in the Windows App on iOS and iPadOS. Third-party hardware or software keyboards are not supported.

You can report this issue through the feedback option for the Windows App for iPadOS. Product engineers review these reports directly and will make adjustments as needed based on the frequency and severity of such issues.

    1. Open Windows App.
    2. Tap the cog icon for Settings, or tap your user account picture to open the settings pane.
    3. Tap Submit Feedback, which will open the feedback page in your browser.

Unfortunately „Shift+Option+2“ still doesn’t work. I use the latest version 11.0.1. I‘m going to contact Windows App Support.

    Hi Erwin Sägesser

The Option key to the right of the space bar on a Mac keyboard equals the Alt Gr in Windows.

Mac and Windows keyboard layouts differ slightly - for example, the Command key on a Mac keyboard equals the Windows key on a Windows keyboard. To help with the differences when using keyboard shortcuts, Windows App automatically maps common shortcuts found in iOS and iPadOS so they work in Windows. These shortcuts are:
