Hi @Narendra Kandula
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
While it is true that you can continue to use existing Linked services and datasets of the legacy Salesforce connector and make changes to them, Microsoft has announced that the legacy connector will be deprecated and replaced by the new Salesforce connector. Microsoft has recommended that users upgrade to the new connector before October 11, 2024, to ensure continued support and compatibility with future updates. The new Salesforce connector provides improved native Salesforce support and is designed to replace the legacy connector. Therefore, it is recommended to migrate to the new connector to take advantage of the new features and ensure continued support.
After October 11, 2024, the legacy Salesforce connector will no longer be supported, meaning you won't receive any updates, bug fixes, or security patches and it will completely be disabled by January 10, 2025. To ensure continued compatibility and access to the latest features, it's strongly recommended to migrate to the new Salesforce connector before the deprecation deadline.
You can continue to use your existing Linked services and datasets built with the legacy Salesforce connector until the deprecation deadline. However, Microsoft advises creating future objects with the new connector and you cannot create a new Linked service for the legacy connector. By upgrading to the new Salesforce connector, you can take advantage of the latest features and avoid potential disruptions in your data integration workflows.
