I can't find the exact information anywhere, and I have come across equal versions. In the case of purchasing Windows Server 2022 Standard/Datacenter - 2 Core license, does the customer receive an activation key or is such a key available only for 16 Core version. I should add that I am aware that according to the rules of licensing for one physical server is required to license at least 16 cores. But if I buy 8 2Core packages, will I get activation key the same as in case of 1 license for 16 cores?

When you purchase Windows Server 2022 Standard or Datacenter in 2 Core license packs, you will indeed receive an activation key. This key is provided regardless of whether you buy a single 16 Core license or multiple 2 Core licenses to meet the minimum requirement of 16 cores per physical server.

So, if you buy 8 packs of 2 Core licenses, you will receive an activation key just as you would if you purchased a single 16 Core license. The key you receive will be used to activate the server, ensuring it meets the licensing requirements.
