OnBackButtonPressed() is not triggering.

I'm working with the Android - Maui application, I had overridden the OnBackButtonPressed() method in the page, unfortunately on clicking on hardware back button in android the method is not getting triggered and the application is closing.

Do you want to monitor the event about clicking the hardware back button in android and do not close your application?

If so, you can return the true value in this method.

protected override bool OnBackButtonPressed() { Console.WriteLine("test"); return true; }

If not, what is the expected behavior and how does that differ from the actual behavior?

Do you enable android:enableOnBackInvokedCallback=true in the <Application> tag of AndroidManifest.xml ?

If I move it, OnBackButtonPressed() could be executed.

No, if you add this line will make the OnBackButtonPressed not execute. You can create a new project, will have this issue? If you can reproduce this issue in the new project, please share it with us.
