    @Kathryn Henslee

    To schedule Microsoft Teams meetings without requiring a host to start the meeting, you can adjust the meeting options so external parties can join the meeting without waiting in the lobby or needing the host to admit them. Here's how you can manage this:

    1. Schedule the Meeting:
    • Open Microsoft Teams.
    • Go to the Calendar and click on "New meeting" or schedule a meeting through Outlook if integrated.
    • Fill in the meeting details, including participants (external parties) and the date/time.
    1. Configure Meeting Options:
    • After scheduling, go to the Calendar in Teams.
    • Find the meeting you just scheduled and click on it to open it.
    • Click on "Meeting options." This will open a web page in your browser where you can configure various settings for the meeting.
    1. Adjust the Lobby Settings:
    • In the "Meeting options" page, look for the section titled "Who can bypass the lobby."
    • Select "Everyone" from the dropdown menu. This ensures that all participants, including external parties, can join the meeting directly without needing the host to admit them.
    1. Manage Presenter and Attendee Roles:
    • In the same "Meeting options" page, you can specify "Who can present."
    • If you want everyone to have presenter permissions, select "Everyone."
    • If you prefer to restrict presenting capabilities, choose the appropriate option like "Only me" or "Specific people," and then assign specific presenters as needed.
    1. Save the Settings:
    • Once you’ve made your selections, click "Save."
