AZURE DOCUMENT INTELLIGENT ANALYSYS VERY SLOW

I've started a resource in West Europe to use analyzing documents via the APIs. It seems to accept the requests and give me a URL for fetching the results. However the result URL just keep saying "running". I'm talking 15 minutes later.

So then I logged into Azure and tried to see if something about my requests are causing this issue. Upon testing one of the example documents with the INVOICE Prebuild model inside the Azure STUDIO, I see they too are taking for ever to process a single page.

It's worth noting I'm accessing api-version 2024-07-31 and 2024-02-29 and python sdk :azure-ai-documentintelligence==1.0.0b2 and azure-ai-documentintelligence==1.0.0b4

    Hi ,

    Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    1. Resource Configuration: Ensure that your Document Intelligence resource is properly scaled for the workload you're sending. If many requests are processed simultaneously, consider increasing the resource tier.
    2. Document Size and Complexity: Larger or more complex documents can take longer to process. Try testing with a simpler document (ex., an one page text file) to see if performance improves. This could help identify if the issue is doc specific.
    3. Concurrency Limits: The API might be throttling requests if you're sending many at once. Check the Azure API rate limits for your resource tier and ensure you're within the allowed range.
    4. Studio Performance: If the same slowness is observed in the studio, this could indicate a broader platform issue rather than a problem specific to your API usage. This may require contacting Azure Support.

    I'm sorry, but I am sending a scanned A4 pdf document, with a single page. I don't think I exceed any limit, plus I'm on a paid service S0

    Hi,

    It worked fine all morning but it crashed again. The analysis and extraction system is slower than yesterday.

    We need a stable system.

    Best Regards !
