New Teams app crashes during Teams call or Screen share

Question

1. How many users are affected? - 650+ incidents reported

 

2. Since when the issue started? - It was reported 2-3 weeks ago

 

3. Did you check with different machine connected with different network? - Since multiple users are facing the issue across region - so Yes.

 

4. Was it working earlier or since the installation of new teams you are facing this issue? - It was working before with new Teams as well. Even now it works with new Teams for some users.

 

5. Please confirm the windows version for the affected machine? - Win 10 v22H2

 

6. Could you please confirm any pattern which is triggering Teams app crash? (e.g. calling for more some specific minutes, multi tasking on other app while on teams calls or screensharing with some specific app\content ) - While being in a call, sharing screen over Teams, it crashes when users stop screenshare.

 

7. Do you see any similar Teams app freezing behaviour over the web app or Teams mobile app (if using)? As of now, only reported for Teams desktop application.
