May I confirm that you get this situation after trying to rollback your update? Please turn off the automatic update of Office for Mac temporarily, then uninstall Office for Mac, and install the previous version Update history for Office for Mac - Office release notes | Microsoft Learn to check if it will make any difference.
May I please confirm that you get same behavior after creating new outlook profile? Manage profiles or identities in Outlook for Mac - Microsoft Support please do not delete old profile to prevent the loss of your data.
May I please know the account type are you using? Is it POP, IMAP or Exchange account?
May I please know if you are using new outlook for Mac or legacy Outlook?
