I am experiencing an issue while trying to install Visual Studio. After downloading the setup file (Visual Studio Installer), I tried to run it, but it opens a blank window that quickly disappears, and nothing happens afterward.

Here's what I've already tried:

  1. Running as Administrator: I right-clicked on the installer and selected "Run as administrator," but the issue persists.
  2. Disabling Antivirus: I temporarily disabled my antivirus software, thinking it might be blocking the installer, but it didn't help.
  3. Checking Programs and Features: I checked the "Programs and Features" section in Control Panel, but there are no previous versions of Visual Studio installed on my system.
  4. Clearing the Temp Folder: I cleared the Temp folder completely, but it did not resolve the problem.
  5. Downloading the Installer Again: I re-downloaded the installer from the official Visual Studio website, but the problem remains the same.

Despite these steps, the installer does not launch properly. It opens for a brief moment and then closes without any error message or further progress.

    Hi @anıl ağcaer,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!

Could you try to run the vs_installershell.exe file to launch your Visual Studio Installer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\Installer

Please check if you put the .exe file into the no-English folder or not. You can try to put the .exe file in root of C drive like C:\setup.exe or another drive. Then, run it as administrator.

You can check if your Windows Modules Installer service is running:

    1. Type Services.msc in the start search box and run it as administrator.
    2. Navigate to Windows Modules Installer service and double-click on it.
    3. Set the Startup type to Manual.

    Sincerely,

    Anna
