I'm encountering an error when Azure OpenAI Studio attempts to ingest data and create an index. I'm working on a proof of concept (PoC) where I aim to use an existing model to interact with my own data. The data I'm uploading contains proprietary code.
Could you assist with resolving this issue?

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:
Assign Storage Blob Data Reader Role: Ensure that the Storage Blob Data Reader role is assigned to the Azure Search service for data read access in Blob Storage.
Configure CORS: Review the documentation for CORS configuration to ensure its properly set up.
Managed Identity and Storage Data Contributor Role: If you're using Azure Blob Storage, ensure that you have the system-assigned managed identity principal enabled for your Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search resources. You may also need to assign the Storage Data Contributor role to the storage resource for your Azure OpenAI and search resource's managed identity.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve any ingest and indexing errors in Azure OpenAI Studio.

As a workaround we recommend try using the legacy Azure OpenAI studio to resolve the issue.
We have also heard about similar issues from other users and recommended they switch to the legacy studio, which seems to have resolved their problems.
Meanwhile we are looking into the issue and let you know once we hear from them.
