We recently deployed text-embedding-3-large embedding model in OpenAi instance. We expect to see this model while creating index from AI studio. At this moment text-embedding-ada-002 is selected by default and it doesn't show the option to choose text-embedding-3-large.

Below is a small proof to show that we have both the embedding model under aoai connection. User's image

I checked some previous threads [here](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1626354/third-generation-embeddings-models-not-available-() it says this option should be out by April end. I'm not sure if I'm missing something. Can someone assist on this please?

Asha

@Narayana Swamy, Asha Thanks for your patience on this.

I have rechecked with AI Search engineering team and sharing the below information.

Team has confirmed that selection of "text-embedding-003" models from UI is not available at this moment but they have this feature/change in their road map, and they don't have any ETA as of now.

We would suggest you follow the latest updates in AI search & Azure Open AI from here.

Hope this helps, Let me know if you have any further questions on this.
