How to Request Full Refund for Accidental Azure Subscription Charges?

Hello Azure Community,

I'm in a bit of a predicament and could really use some advice. Here's my situation:

  1. I opened an Azure account purely for educational purposes, intending to use only the free credit provided.
  2. After using the free credit, I forgot to cancel the payment method associated with the account.
  3. As a result, I've been charged for services I didn't intend to use.

I'm now trying to request a full refund from Microsoft for these unintended charges. I'm trying to create a new request but got an issue:

When i get to the step of selecting transactions there is no transaction to select?

Even though in the previous step i could select my transaction?

Does anyone have experience with this that can help me?

    • If you can't see the transactions you want to dispute, try checking if the billing period has been updated or if there’s a delay in the billing data. Sometimes it might take a little while for transactions to appear.
    • Contact Azure Support directly if you still can't find the transactions. You can request assistance through the support request form or via Azure's support contact options.
