The existing infrastructure is a hybrid configuration of Exchange 2010 and Office 365, with all mailboxes hosted in Office 365 that was configured a few months ago.
If we run the Hybrid Configuration Wizard again in the environment, it will:
1.Erase current configuration settings and restart
2.Pull in the current configuration for review and editing?
3.Or other?
Basically, is it safe to rerun Hybrid Configuration Wizard? Should it be run forever after the first environment setup?
Note: Provide an idea about why I am trying to run it again. Recently, a new Exchange 2016 server has been installed into the environment using PowerShell instead of ISntall GUI. It is uncertain whether the PowerShell method is preventing certain mixed configuration applications. The old Exchange 2010 server is still active.
However, even though Exchange 2016 appears to be up and running properly, it doesn't seem to have the same send/receive connector settings for communicating with Office 365 as the old server. So I hope to run Wizard on the new server, which will check and ensure that everything is actually running correctly, rather than appearing to be running correctly.

Yes, you can run it as many times as you like really. or create the connectors manually.

Rerunning HCW does not clear the current configuration.
If you decide to use Exchange 2016 as the hybrid server, you must re-run the HCW. The wizard gathers existing on-premises Exchange and Active Directory topology configuration data, Office 365 tenant and Exchange Online configuration data, defines several organization parameters, and then runs an extensive sequence of configuration tasks in both the on-premises and Exchange Online organizations.
