In our organization, workers occasionally face challenges clocking in, particularly when working in the field without access to work-issued mobile devices with Shift capabilities. Can a manager handle the clock-in process for them in these situations?

    Hi @APPC_IA

According to our official documentation, managers can help employees with the clock-in process when they don't have access to a Shift-enabled device. Managers can clock in and out employees through the Shifts app in Microsoft Teams. To do this, managers need to enable the clock-in feature in the Shifts settings, refer to this reference.

    • Enable the Clock In feature: Open Microsoft Teams. Go to the Shifts app. Enable the Clock In feature in Settings.
    • Open the Shifts app: Select the Shifts app in Teams. Select the team that needs to clock in.
    • Select the employee: Find the employee that needs to clock in in the Shifts app. Tap the employee's name or profile picture.
    • Clock in or out: Tap the Clock In button. Select the Clock In or Clock Out option.
    • Record location (optional): If location detection is enabled and Teams is allowed to access location, managers can also record the employee's clock-in location.
