Have you tried to add the "Location" registry value?
If not, please try and have a look:
- Close all Office apps, search and open ”Registry Editor“.
- Locate to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Common\Offline\Options
- Right click on blank space, choose New > String, enter
Location
as its name. - Double click on "Location", add the path to your local folder.
(Important! Follow the steps in this section carefully. Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Before you modify it, back up the registry for restoration in case problems occur. )
After change the location, please whether the SharePoint file cache message persists.
