Unable to upload a Teams video link to the SharePoint page

We are having trouble uploading a video Link (Teams Meeting Recording) to the SharePoint Form page, not sure if something changed with the versions because it worked just fine before. It allows us to upload a video if we use an external source to shorten the video link and then upload it to the SharePoint page. It seems that something has changed in the way Stream generates URLs, causing problems when adding the link to the SharePoint Page.

  • Is the length of the URL the issue, or are the characters in the video?
  • Is Stream generating the URLs differently now?
  • Is it related to the SharePoint version or the Teams Version?
  • Can we change a setting in Stream to avoid this issue in the future? So that we don't have to use an external platform to shorten the video? Because we are not sure if it is safe to do so.
  • If this is something that cannot be changed, what solution we can use to shorten the video? Since I am not sure if my screenshot of the error message is posted here successfully, PLEASE REFER TO THE EXACT ERROR MESSAGE BELOW:

    Hi @Aishwarya Panicker ,

Thank you for posting in this community.

400 Character is the URL limit allowed for SharePoint. If the URL is too long, it could be rejected. It is not related to the version of SharePoint or Teams.

Unfortunately, there isn’t a setting in Stream to change the URL format. Instead of using the direct URL, try embedding the video using the embed code provided by Stream.
